How we do it
Most retaining walls that fail around here fail because of water. Rain soaks the soil behind the wall, the pressure builds up, and the wall starts to lean. We build every wall with a compacted gravel base, a drain pipe and clean gravel behind it, and fabric to keep the dirt out of the drainage.
That's the part you never see once the wall is done, and it's the part that decides whether the wall lasts. Need a slope turned into usable yard, a terrace for a patio, or an old failing wall replaced? We'll come look.
